Who We Are

After working in the industry for years under his uncle, Dave Putzke opened his own well drilling business and established Dave Putzke Well Drilling in 1967, which was later shortened to Putzke Well Drilling. The family-owned and operated business is well known for its expertise in local ground formations, water table depth by locations, water characteristics and qualities by history of drilling. Putzke Well Drilling prides themselves on a reputation built by being knowledgeable, reliable and highly respected in the Southeastern South Dakota area and are excited to continue to serve for years to come.

The senior members of our team are Dave Putzke, Mark Putzke and Bill Shumaker with years of experience and exceptional customer service.
